Meet Bryan Alverson

My name is Bryan Alverson. I’ve been married to Rhonda Alverson for 29 years, I’m the father of 2 daughters, and “Papa” to three grandchildren. I am a lifelong native of Spartanburg County, an Associate Pastor of Northgate Church in Lyman South Carolina, Transportation Coordinator at Contec Inc., and Co-Host of the “Get’ta Steppin” Podcast.

Spartanburg needs a government that the people can trust. Transparency is a must and accountability has been lacking. It’s time to change that.

“Filots” have to be stopped (“fees in lieu of taxes”). They don’t create all of the jobs that are promised. Instead, they cause tax increases on the citizens, while large international corporations come in and halfway fulfill their obligations, destabilize the tax base, and diminish the ideals and values that we’ve held dear for so many years.

We must address the essential functions of government and quit asking the citizens to serve the government. We have to get back to the government serving the citizen.
